Longtime Society staffer Jayne Blair was surprised to be called up to the front at the annual business meeting last month. President Ray Ezell said, “The Board wanted to recognize you and recognize your invaluable contribution to the operation of the Historical Society.” Blair staffs the Research Center on Caroline Street from 1-5 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and now, sometimes on Thursday. She first came here in 2009. “This is my play pen,” she
laughed.
Following the annual meeting, the Board elected officers. Ray Ezell will continue to serve as President of the Society. The new Vice President is Mark Hoerath. James Luther will continue as Treasurer and Carla Passarello
agreed to serve again as Secretary.
